Baerenschuetzklamm, Mixnitz

It was a big challange to climb up the stairs under the sun and 30 degrees. But very spectacular and sometimes you have the feeling you want to walk into the water or stand under the waterfall just for some minutes.

Unprepared visitors beware! Beautiful trail, but it is not for beginners. Having said that, it is a whole day worth walk/climb. The first km (from the car park to the entrance) is a steep walk, but that is just a mild start of what is ahead. There are 164 ladders, some of them are layed almost horizontally, but mostly in a ladder fashion. You need to climb all these, turning back is not an option. (too narrow). On top, there is a restaurant, but take cash, card is not accepted. The walk back is nice, however mostly on rocky surface, accidental misstep (and your legs are already tired like hell) can cause injuries. Bring proper footwear! And count 5 hours minimum for the trip.
