  • Very informative tour by the boss himself ... Stollen is absolutely worth seeing. Cheese tasting and matching wine were TOP. Here the importance of high quality food is made clear.
  • Arzberg Stollen Cheese Here a man lives his idea. He himself, a successful businessman for dairies, tried to ripen a cheese in the side gallery built in 1911 that worked perfectly, so he had the idea to build a completely new gallery in 2009 and let a very high quality cheese ripen in it! The cheese and milk come from farmers in the region and only from organic farms The tour started in front of the Franz-Leopold-Stollen, built in 2009, where they stored no less than 25 tons of cheese. When you first step into the tunnels, you immediately notice a completely different climate and humidity down here, of course you have the familiar cheese smell in your nose (which was almost too much smell for some) and you know that good cheese is ripened here After the tour, each participant receives a plate with 8 pieces of cheese and the guide explains which cheese is which and in which order you eat it (unfortunately you cannot say which is the best cheese because every cheese has something unique here). The Stollen cheese is already 3 times world champion and multiple golf winner at the Käsiade and you can taste it too Conclusion: worth a visit for cheese lovers and wine connoisseurs
