The whole place is run down and empty, all restaurants have closed down, only things open was a kids water play park and a gym, I don’t know if covid hit this place hard, then the companies decided.... more

One of the best parks i have ever visited in the morning ypu can see the bed of the lake late in the evening the latke is almost full..... Very strange ted effect... Bahrain made a wonderfull walking.... more

It's a good place for a walk. A lot of food establishments if you get hungry, and a supermarket near the road. It's a "No pets allowed" zone, but we encountered two dogs jogging with their owner and they were so cute! Not sure if it's wheelchair accessible as the path was paved with stones

When I first moved to Amwaj almost 10 years ago, The Lagoon was one of the top attractions in Bahrain for dining, especially in the colder months. With an extensive array of world-renowned and local restaurants, diners, and cafes, this used to be an awesome place. Unfortunately, it is now a ghost town as many places closed down save for a few cafes that don't garner a crowd even on the weekends. The only cool place left is the bowling alley.
