Church of St. Mary Magdalene
Church of St. Mary Magdalene is home to the tabernacle--a box in which the holy bread and wine are kept--and was declared a National Cultural Monument in 2010. Visit to see a richly decorated 18th-century altar, Baroque Eucharist sculptures, and a Gothic Madonna inside one of the most important Czech High Baroque monuments. Take a tour to learn more about the altar of the Holy Sepulchre, which is made from sinter and aragonite; biblical scenes of Gethsemane Garden and Calvary; Baroque church foundations; and a geological display. A charnel house with the skeletal remains from the former cemetery is included on the tour. The church is located at the start of the Karlovy Vary promenade. The inside is nice but unfortunately locked for viewing.

A nice Baroque church, but nothing out of the ordinary by Czech standards The church is a cool and peaceful and is a good place to quietly reflect, but much of the time only the outer sections are accessible, and, while pleasant, it is not artistically different to many other similar churches in the Czech Republic
