Maison de Jules Verne was Jules Verne's House in the mid 19th century. The museum is on four floors and features over seven hundred objects that belonged to Jules Verne. The second floor has changed the least since Jules Verne left, allowing you to discover several of Verne’s works, a writing office, and his work area that was a source of his inspiration. Very interesting place with a lot of his works exposed, a dive into his " universe " through his house, books, furniture. Worth the visit !

Following the footsteps of Jules Verne in his house is so impressive! Definitely recommending to learn his inspirations for every novel and how much he worked for each as well. The house itself and the staff are great but I am surprised on the way to the house since there is no direction or any visual that we are coming close to this amazing writer’s house! You need to check the Google map to find your way. I think Jules Verne deserves more attention by the municipality for such arrangements.

We have a particular fondness for Jules Verne through Disneyland Paris' Space Mountain that ran from 1995 until 2005 and the still present Nautilus. Jules would've loved the original theming on them both, we have little doubt. We've read the corresponding novels and happened to be in the neighborhood of Amiens and couldn't resist paying a visit. Not for kids as it is more of an art like exhibition, nor is it very interactive. It did however instill in us a sense of how this man was both an intellectual and creative mind.
