Musee PEYNET et du Dessin Humoristique, Antibes

Musee PEYNET et du Dessin Humoristique was opened in 1989 in France. It was named after Raymond Peynet, a well-known illustrator who resided in Antibes. When you enter the octagonal designed museum, you get a chance to view over 300 pieces of Peynet’s artworks. From etching and lithographs to watercolors, gouache and Indian ink. The collection includes his most famous work ‘Les Amoureux de Peynet’ or Lovers Peynet, an illustration of a violinist and his admirer at the Valence kiosk, which later transformed into a poet and his lover.
