  • Engaging and surprisingly good for children, we were lucky to get an English translation which we much prefer to the booklet.

  • Great place to visit. We were the only UK visitors in a large group during the tour - so it was all in French! However, we were given helpful printed guides in English and the tour guide took time out to chat to us separately about the caves and the wine. Very helpful and super friendly. Also a welcome relief from the heat in the lovely cool caves! Doggies welcome!
  • I rarely leave reviews, but this place deserves one! It was an unplanned stop for us today and we actually arrived during lunchtime when the site is closed. A very nice young man, Tom, gave us some ideas in what to do in the vicinity to pass the time until they reopened at 14h30. When we returned, we took a tour of the quarry with Tom. I am traveling with a group of students who speak some French but not enough to really follow a complete tour in the language. We were grouped with a French family, so Tom gave the whole tour in French and then again in English to make sure everyone understood! He really did a fantastic job as a guide. The site itself is interesting and at the end of the tour you get to visit an art gallery of sorts and enjoy some local treats plus some wine made on site. Off the beaten path, and totally worth it!
