We had the most wonderful wine tasting experience with Matteo today! If I could give 6 stars I would. We opted for the red wine tasting - 4 wines for $35 including both a grand and premier cru wines from Burgundy. You have to make a reservation because he spends over an hour one on one with you. He was so incredibly knowledgeable of the wines and the regions and even had a presentation with very detailed maps, so we could see each wine’s origins down to the vineyard plot. First he spent time understanding our knowledge level and interests (I am and level 1 Somm and level 3 WSET so he got into the geeky stuff I love) and we were so grateful to have a presentation with the information we were most interested in learning. The wines he selected were absolutely stunning! Each showed a different vineyard, terroir, and producer all from Burgundy and all were delightful. The location is also excellent as it’s right in town and the shop has hundreds of bottles in every price range. We ended up purchasing a bottle per his recommendation, since the others he picked were so great, to take to dinner with us. Worth every Penny to visit this gem. 10 out of 10 would return!

The wine tasting was excellent and very informative. I didn’t know very much and the staff explained me through every detail of why we do certain steps when tasting. I felt so comfortable and not at all silly for having lots of questions!
