Well worth the drive, completely awesome and much quieter than Gavarnie. We actually spotted our first wild marmot too! Excellent chocolat chaud in the auberge and the menu looked delicious too, though we didn't eat there. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The cirque of Troumouse is really out of this world. The scenery is mesmerizing, and it is really well preserved. We took a nice walk around the place, which was not crowded at all, and enjoyed a lot our time there. A must-see place if you are around there!
