Chateau Observatoire Abbadia
In a country where many sites can trace their history through thousands of years, Chateau Observatoire Abbadia is rather modern.
Built between 1864 and 1879, this Neo-Gothic structure is a study in contrasts: old and new, Eastern and Western, science and Catholicism. It was built for linguist, anthropologist, geographer, and astronomer Antoine d'Abbadie, who designed the eclectic structure around his interests. Upon his death, he left the home to the French Academy of Sciences, which still owns it. Nice park with a great view. We were walking in the park with children, with unstable weather, but still it was worth it. The walk in the park is easy as the trails are well done.

I toured the palace. It was beautiful. Went for many walks on the vast mountain property. Beautiful scenery.

Loved it. The route around the castle as well the castle entourage. Did not go inside as the tours were offered only in French.
