  • Did not see anything after 1900, I think, I just do not appreciate modern art...the paintings are exquisite, both biblical, and personal portraits...

  • Huge and impressive collection. Mostly classical and modern painting and sculpture. Somewhat out of time/place for the gallery is the really wonderful collection of Pierre Soulanges paintings. You might need multiple days to get through the whole collection . So bank on at least half a day for your visit.
  • A breathtaking at gallery with artworks of the highest quality in an impressive building. I couldn't see it all in one visit and was so disappointed that when in returned there on the last day of my holiday, it was closed. I had forgotten that European museums shut on Mondays. Free entry on first Sunday of the month, otherwise about €9.
