The Lac de Montriond (Lake of Montriond) is a lake in the Chablais Alps at Montriond in the Haute-Savoie department of France. It has a surface area of 32 ha (79 acres).

There is a circular path around the lake and several restaurants next to the D228 access road (which connects Montriond to Les Lindarets). In winter the lake surface frequently freezes over and the immediate area surrounding the lake experiences extremes of cold due to the topology of the surrounding area blocking most sunlight during the coldest months of winter.

The Lac de Montriond has a minimum altitude of 1062m and maximum altitude of 1189m.

This is a lovely walk even in the snow in winter with the lake mostly frozen. Called in at the Hotel du Lac for coffee after the walk and were made most welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility.

Surly rude lady running paddle board hire place - got our kids out the water half an hour early as she wanted to go home. When we complained, the guy left behind told us to come back tomorrow...

Fantastic place to spend a hot day by the water. Layout allows swimming, paddlesports, and fishing. Canoe and SUP rental was reasonable, or take your own. Restaurant near the rental shop, but didn't notice what was near the car park. Bring your own shade if arriving later in the morning or day.

I love this place, perfect for hiking with kids since there are parks, access to the lake and a few restaurants, several motorcycle and car parking lots on site.
