Create an itinerary including Parc des Buttes-Chaumont
Wander around the lush green paradise of Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. This is the largest, hilliest, and least touristed park in Paris, where you'll find a real Parisian atmosphere. Climb to the top of the hill and overlook the north of Paris, with Montmartre before you. Walk over a suspension bridge to reach a decorative temple, which sits atop a steep cliff. The park has a waterfall fed by a natural spring deep underground, which flows into a lake. Make Parc des Buttes-Chaumont a centerpiece of your Paris vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Paris day trip planner.

  • Beautiful walking area, but missed the waterfall. Some areas closed for repair. Worth the trek to get there.

  • Quite a big and beautiful park, clean and easy to get here. There are also several nice spots that you can see some parts of Paris from these hills. You can also see planes approaching in/out to the airport (in a bit far distance but still nice to see). Very good place for walking, running or just chilling outside with nature is so beautiful.
  • Gorgeous park outside of the core tourist center. The varying elevation allows for amazing views from all around the park, whether you are up at the top getting to look out or down at the pond. Grounds were extremely well kept and clean. Numerous areas to lounge in the grass and benches all around the park. Main tower was closed at the time of visit (April 2022). Only con is it definitely a hike to get to and may not be worth if you have limited time. Visited 4/17/2022
