Soaring stained glass windows beam a myriad of colored light onto the floor's rich tile mosaics inside Sainte-Chapelle. This house of worship is one of the highest achievements of the Rayonnant period Gothic architecture, and retains one of the most extensive collections of 13th-century stained glass anywhere in the world. Built by the French kings to house the relics of the Crown of Thorns, this "jewel box" structure has two levels and an impressive vaulted ceiling. Awe-inspiring, fabulous stain-glass windows. Easy to see in a relatively short time. Don’t miss the lower level!

Although the church itself is smaller in scale compared to others it’s interior is still beautiful. When we arrived the line was quite long and I was thinking that it wouldn’t be worth the long wait considering it was a cold rainy day. However to my surprise the line moved quite quickly. Once we entered we could see all the beautiful stain glass windows and other decor. The souvenirs they had at the bottom were all eye catching especially the circular stain glass pieces they had available, which I had to get for myself.

Must visit place in Paris! It's a glorious beauty beholding the grandeur for centuries! Tickets need to be purchased online. Need to stay in line for a few minutes, after which you pass through security, then a relatively narrow staircase. Once you enter you notice that it's only a single big space but for sure you will be awestruck by it's beauty! The details on each of the stained glasses and the colors used are just amazing! There's also a video display board on the side for more information.Definitely worth a visit! You exit through the souvenir room. There's a toilet facility just outside.
