Create an itinerary including Chateau Belingard
Named after the Celtic sun god, Chateau Belingard boasts a 200-year-long history of producing red and white wines. Nestled on a green hillside, the chateau has been home to seven generations of wine-makers. It was first restored in the 1820s, while the vinery went through a modernization process during the 1960s and 1970s. Those who wish to admire the scenic views and discover the chateau's history at their own pace can take self-guided tours by using a smartphone or a tablet provided at the reception. The gardens feature an ancient sacrificial chair-shaped altar carved into a rock. Put Chateau Belingard at the forefront of your travel plans using our Pomport trip itinerary maker site.

  • Wonderful time wine tasting with friends here. A gorgeous setting with lovely views. The young man who guided us was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and spoke excellent English as our friends didn't speak French. We bought some of their wonderful Monbazillac dessert wine, the moelleux and the Sauvignon reserve. All excellent wines. The "No Sulphate" red is worth trying too.
  • Paid a visit during my stay in Bergerac. Just a short drive from the town, this vineyard is huge, set on beautiful grounds and hosted by friendly staff members. We were left free to have a wonder and try some of their wines which are also incredible. Definitely worth a visit. (A special thank you to the dark haired gent who was working their whilst studying, we didn't catch his name but he was great! Thank you)
