Musee d'Archeologie Nationale is a royal palace first built by Louis VI and currently houses the magnificent National Museum of Archaeology. You can view secrets of prehistory, the Iron Age, and Gaul within an old-fashioned château, a long-time grand residence of the Kings of France. As you continue outside, garden terraces offer an amazing view of greater Paris.
The museum exhibits around 30,000 archaeological objects, making it one of the most magnificent collections in Europe, and these objects are divided into seven collections. When you’re finished here, the Saint-Louis chapel, which adjoins the château, is not to be missed. It is a masterpiece of classic gothic architecture. Nice restoration of the castle. Lovely chapel and courtyard. We did not visit the exhibits which are historical to the Gaul period. (Were in town to visit friends so had no time.)

Beautiful town, peaceful and quaint. People were nice and cafes so full of energy. I loved watching the happy people take their time to spend together! Noone sat inside but enjoyed the weather outdoors - it was picturesque!
