Though appearing simple from the outside, Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste features a gilded wooden altarpiece that's so intricately carved, it's been declared a historic monument in its own right. King Louis XIV also married the Infanta Maria Theresa of Spain here, making the church a national historic monument, too.
