Create an itinerary including Parc de Sceaux
You will find Parc de Sceaux in front of the Château de Sceaux, a grand country house that now houses an art museum. Landscape architect André Le Nôtre, Louis XIV's chief gardener, laid out the park. It once included terraced gardens, canals, an orangery, and a stone cascade that flows into an octagonal basin. During the French Revolution, the state confiscated the property and sold it. The new owner destroyed the original château and grew crops in the famed ornamental gardens. During Napoleon's reign, different owners restored the park to its original glory and built a smaller home on the site. Today, the park is open to the public. • Quite a big and beautiful park , it takes time to walk the entire place. There are more beautiful spots to see. The cherry blossom on April and more. It's easy to find and near Paris. I recommend this place for family, kids, picnic, walking, running and more.
  • Beautiful park. Vibrant with people and stunning landscape. It is huge and well taken care of. There are plenty of spaces within the park for picnic or just a bit of time out. It is clean but there was some renovations/construction inside the park when we went and these projects reduce the size.
