Musee D-Day Omaha is primarily the work of an enthusiast by the name of Michel Brissard. After years of research, Michel decided to exhibit his collection, paying tribute to the soldiers who died in the Battle of Normandy. Located in a period building (an American hospital during the landings), the museum houses a private collection composed of rare objects (such as an Enigma machine, Higgins boat, and German equipment), which have remained in their original state and illustrate technological advances in wartime. • Relatively small, but packed museum. Lots to take in, they’ve got quite the collection. I only hope that the boat (replica, maybe?) outside that was used by soldiers to get onto the beach gets cleaned up. Took a picture from above but the inside seemed to be just trash. The food around the corner is great too, excellent combination. If you’re in the area and are interested in WW2, visit this place!
  • Incredible collection of real WW2 equipment and artefacts. Fascinating and moving
