A famous shopping arcade with origins dating back to the 16th century, Madle- Passage originated in 1525 as a simple wine bar called Auerbach's Cellar. Expanded in the early 20th century, the passage grew to include the surrounding buildings--and a modern promenade providing numerous shopping opportunities was born. With more than 40 small specialty shops and restaurants, the passage is an excellent place to find unique gifts, enjoy a meal, or simply watch people go by. After a short coffee break, we again ventured through the city centre until we ended up at the ‘Mädler Passage’, a truly stunning arcade. It was built between 1912 and 1914 and was originally a place for sellers of porcelain, ceramics and earthenware. Today, this 140 metre long passage is full of exclusive shops and a great spot for your sightseeing list. It's a nice sightseeing spot.

Very well decorated for the Christmas season. Cafes/Bars available to sit an watch the day pass by. Not a busy place but very pleasant
