Toy fans will rejoice over Toy Museum, founded in 1971 for the Lydia and Paul Bayer collection of toys. These treasures reach back the Middle Ages and include everything from tin toy soldiers and a large model railway track to Legos, Barbie, and other modern playthings. The structure features spaces and opportunities to play with toys, too. Take a look at our Nuremberg attractions website to schedule your visit to Toy Museum and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Nostalgic, spell-binding, and prolific collection and informative 3-level museum with bonus bubble-gum special exhibit. Amazingly priced. Like a time machine for many older patrons I imagine. Placards in English as well. Here's hoping the last few generations that have been missing out on real, imaginative, creative play come around full circle so toys such as these are not solely for collectors.
  • This museum had old old toys and dolls and was really interesting to see how so many toys have changed over time. Fantastic retrospective on the importance and value of play in our lives. The displays geared for all ages.
