Pantokrator, Agios Matheos

Capture magnificent views of the surrounding islands from the top of Pantokrator, the highest point on the island. Visit the monastery located at the summit, walk around the courtyard, and stop for refreshments at the nearby cafe. Be on the lookout for owls hopping around on the rocks at the summit. Walk or drive up the winding road leading to the peak, but avoid the journey if you have a fear of heights, as the drive up is steep with mountain drops down the side. Parking is available at the summit for your convenience. Be sure to remember your sunscreen, as the sun can be strong at this elevation.
