The Guam Museum, formally the Senator Antonio M. Palomo Guam Museum & Chamorro Educational Facility, is a museum focusing on the history of Guam, a U.S. territory in Micronesia. A permanent building to house the museum's collection opened in Hagåtña on November 4, 2016. The Guam Museum had been housed in temporary locations since World War II.

  • This is a pretty interesting museum. There are a lot of artifacts here (don’t forget to open drawers!) as well as a lot of information to read. There is a decent amount of local art, and the video at the beginning telling the CHamorro creation story is very cool. My only complaints are several areas are so dark you can’t see the artifacts and the in-case lights don’t come on. There’s also scrolling text at the top and the bottom of a lot of the areas with heavy reading which was very distracting. Overall it was a great experience and I love bringing visitors here.
  • I’ve had to call ahead couple days to reserve a time slot for the museum tour. Went on 3/3/22 at 10am and there was only another family and ours while we were there in the time slot. Got the whole museum to be able to roam and learn about Guam’s history and the CHamoru ancestors and it was very informational. You get to watch a 9 minute short movie prior to walking thru the museum and then there are two floors to be able to read, interact and view what made Guam It was $3/ per person and kids are free Parking available alongside the building and very close to chamorro village where there were food trucks outside in the back as well during lunch time on a Thursday
