Have some history with your Irish coffee at Jameson Distillery Bow St., which provides guided tours and tutored tastings of its best-selling whiskey. The distillery closed for business in 1971 and the building now houses a visitor center and bar, located right above the original fermentation vats, which you can still see through the glass floor of the atrium. Guided tours explain the history of Irish whiskey through a series of reconstructed scenes from the old distillery, as well as through several exhibit areas displaying all of the main stages of traditional whiskeymaking. If the tour's complimentary glass just doesn't hit the spot, drop by the second-floor restaurant, where you can take the next drink with a gourmet meal. Make Jameson Distillery Bow St. a centerpiece of your Dublin vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Dublin online vacation planner.

  • My friends and I visit during our girls trip to Dublin. WOW! The distillery itself is beautiful. We attended the cocktail masterclass, which was a lovely experience. I’m not a whiskey drinker but...

  • They do not produce any product there so there is nothing to see. They have some wall poster boards explaining the history since 1770's. So exciting. Then you go into a room and have a tasting of...

  • Another great tour and tasting and it was fun and interactive. Erin our tour guide was amazing and very funny. She put everyone at ease and made us feel part of the Jameson family. Only down side but also kind of made it cool is it's tucked away in an alley. Otherwise it was top notch. Plus the bar there is to die for. Recommended for sure.
  • This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Not only in Dublin but in all of Europe. They have really kept the family business vibe with small tours and amazing Tour Guides. We were lucky to have Erin as our tour guide and she was so knowledgable and personable. It felt like we were being guided by your friend. Even if you do not like whiskey I 100% recommend this tour! Absolutely Amazing! Erin really made the tour! My husband and I will be back for sure!
