Sited in the middle of a busy piazza, Fontana sant'Andrea is a marble Baroque-style fountain representing the apostle with four cherubs and a nymph at his feet. This 18th-century art piece once stood in front of the cathedral's monumental staircase before it was moved to its current location at the end of the last century. During the feast of St Andrea, the procession that runs through the town to the beach starts from the fountain. • The fountain is conveniently located right in front of il Duomo di Sant'Andrea. It's free to access, although the piazza was quite busy as it's surrounded by shops, cafes, and restaurants.

  • The most vivid place in town. Fontana is surounded by many cafes offering good opportunities one to kill his time while enjoying a cup of coffee or a pastry. The view to the basilica is fantastic.
  • Great place to stop, sit down and absorb some sun (hopefully) while you drink your coffee or eat your ice cream (in an enormous lemon, of course. Amalfi special).
