  • The highlight of our visit was to walk the silent, lantern lit streets around the Basilica at midnight in complete safety.

  • Awesome experience. I am not Catholic so it wasn't a religious experience for me but was a historical and architectural one. I loved the frescas and the cathedral windows.

  • Such a holy and magnificent cathedral to visit. This was one of the most emotional visits. You can feel the presence of the saints in this cathedral. You feel safe and peaceful. It’s full of valuable objects from the ancient times. I wished that we all could be like Saint Francesco!
  • Simply astonishing! I was totally blown away by the medieval art and depiction of saints Francis and Jesus Christ. It was surreal to see where he was buried as it's a prayer sanctuary. There were quite a few believers who were praying. It's a great place to visit with family. It's definitely worth a visit. There are some covid19 protocols in place so there weren't too many people and masks are mandatory.
