Fattoria Casa Sola, Barberino Val d'Elsa

Great little family owned winery. We spent about 45 minutes with Maria tasting three different wines, their olive oil and balsamic. The wine is excellent and Maria was delightful. They have tours that include walking the vineyards, the processing area, the cellar and then a well organized wine tasting. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you make reservations for the wine tour and tasting. I highly recommend a visit to Casa Sola.

Amazing tour & tasting with an incredible host: Maria. Learned a lot about their boutique wine making process, utilizing hand picked grapes, a 500 year old cellar and €1k+ French oak barrels. It only makes sense, once you taste the difference, which we did. Also had delicious food and met the winemaker. A wonderful (if serendipitous) experience.
