Codroipo trip planner

Drive 20 km (12 mi) southwest of Udine and you'll reach the small town of Codroipo, founded by the Romans as a strategic military garrison. Today, visitors find that history and tradition envelope and transport them back in time at every turn they make in the little town. Codroipo features two museums, one dedicated to archeological finds from the area, the other to vintage coaches. Yet the real attraction of Codroipo remains a 17th-century villa, where the last of the Venetian doges lived and where Napoleon signed a peace treaty in 1797.
