It deserves 5 stars for the audacity of the construction and for the scientific peculiarity, unique at the time of the Bourbons who had it built, the best Volcanologists of Italy, including Mercalli, passed there as directors, and for the time it had scientific equipment at avant-garde, scientific instruments and a rich mineralographic collection are preserved.
