Erto e Casso trip planner

Most visitors take a day trip to Erto e Casso from Pordenone, located about 40 km (25 mi) away. This small municipality contains two main settlements, Erto and Casso, along with about half dozen smaller communities gathered around traditional farming estates. The main attraction here is an artificial lake, formed by a dam and located inside a protected natural park. The dam is remembered as the site of a landslide from 1963, which caused devastation in the surrounding valley. Today, nature lovers explore the recovered and protected area on guided tours, organized by the park's rangers.
