One of southern Italy's premier beaches, Lido Punta della Suina sets off the light blue waters of the Bay of Gallipoli. This sand- and rock-lined shore is bordered by pine forests and protected by small coves and a peninsula. Take a dip in the shallow waters surrounding the point, or relax in one of the beach chairs or sitting areas. Bars with outdoor seating serve Mediterranean specialties and often feature live music. • Nice location to spend a morning, afternoon or whole day at the beach. It is about fifteen minutes (by car) from Gallipoli. From the parking lot (paid, EUR 4) it is a three minute walk to the beach. We rented cots and an umbrella. But not before we had a light lunch. All at a reasonable price.
  • The beach is small (mix sand with rocks), it’s full of lidi (just a small portion for public area.) and very crowded in July/August. You have parking slots but need to pay, the nice thing is that you have a nice small kind of forest at the entrance, where you can go to have lunch/snacks/nap in the nature and shadow behind the trees. The best is watching the sunset in the bar with an aperitivo, they put really good music!
