Pontificio Santuario della Beata Maria Vergine del Santo Rosario di Pompei, built between 1876 and 1891, contains a reportedly miraculous painting of Our Lady of the Rosary, which has drawn pilgrims to the site since its installation. Appreciate the marble of the façade, sculpted by Gaetano Chiaromonte, and the frescoes adorning the interior. Take the elevator up the 80 m (260 ft) bell tower to take in the views of Pompeii.     Would have missed this church if it hadn't been suggested by our guide. Spectacular interior. Hardly any visitors. After 3 weeks in Sicily, this was definitely one of our favorites.

    Absolutely beautiful especially the children's singing Mass. The view inside is fantastic. Beautifully light up on the night. Won't post the inside as I suggest you visit to see the beauty and amazing inside

    Stopped in Pompei en route to The Amalfi Coast. So glad we did as we enjoyed ice cream in the square and took in the spectacular views of Mount Vesuvius as well as taking in the atmosphere around the Church. Fantastic experience!!
