Trail 2, Cinque Terre

Trail 2, also known as Sentiero Azzurro, connects the five villages that make up Cinque Terre. Hike through terraced hills covered in vineyards and olive trees, with panoramic views of the sea and the picturesque towns you will pass. Stop in each town to explore before continuing to the next. You may choose to hike the whole path, or choose a smaller portion, depending on your stamina and desires. Some of the paths include many stairs, so be sure you are prepared with good walking shoes, water, and plenty of sunscreen. You can buy a day trail pass, which includes transportation on the park buses and access to the trails. For a little more money, another pass allows you to ride the train between Levanto and La Spezia as well.
