Villa Farnesina is a Renaissance villa and a former cardinal’s palace, once used for entertaining guests. The highlight of this attraction is the artwork. You will find stunning paintings here, including a famous fresco of the nymph Galatea in the first loggia. There is also an impressive marble staircase, tapestries, and antique decor. • Beautiful frescoes, well explained in guided tour, available in English at 10 on Saturdays. 10€. Still under renovation.

  • Place to see frescoes designed by Rafaello. Worth seeing but only after you did better and bigger galleries. If you have limited time and have to choose, don't go with this one. But if you're already in vicinity and have an hour to spare -go for it. the explanations for what you see are focused on technicalities too much. It's explained how things were made, but not the story of artists behind it (one room was not finished - I still don't know why it wasn't done.)
  • Nice place to come and relax. You can visit the gallery (the ticket is around 10 euros), but it's really small and I enjoyed so much more outside in the garden itself.
