The protected beaches of Capo Testa are a magnet for swimmers. The rocky, granite peninsula, which is attached to Sardinia's mainland by an isthmus, is only about ten kilometers (6.2 miles) across. The Romans once used the small peninsula to mine the granite for their magnificent cities. The caves where the stone was quarried were last used as a source of building materials in the early 20th century. Pull on a pair of shoes with a strong grip and hike around the eroded rocks to admire the formations smoothed and shaped by the wind. Definitely worth a visit, but parking is at a premium , and the police were ticketing vehicles - you need to watch out for the clearway and towing signs The valley of the Moon is notable for its rock.... more

Parking at Capo testa can be very busy so to be there early it is quite important. The Martini Beach club was quite good!

Fantastic place to trek and enjoy beaches. The granite natural sculpture and the abandoned lighthouse make this place surreal. Plenty of option and also you could spot some of the locals ( 🐐) climbing 😁. I would say is difficult with small kids due to access to the beach is quite rocky

Really impressing rocks & worth a visit! Parking not so easy and the trails need some hints where to go. The beach directly at Capo Testa is a unique place, but extremely crowded - and hard to reach (some „climbing“).
