    The basilica is located around 15min from the starting point of the route to Amalfi by foot. There is a very nice old lady that provides explanation regarding the history of the place. It has a back.....  more

    1400 steps up, 92 floors elevation. Took 50 minutes from marina, stopping for pictures. It’s a solid climb. Please take a small donation for the beautiful lady at the ruins who caretakes it. She offered a lemon Lolly and opened the bathrooms when I arrived because I’d climbed up from the marina. Views from up there are spectacular and the ruins are well worth the climb. Highly recommend it.

    Worth the hike. We hiked up from Amalfi and enjoyed the views along the way. Basilica is currently under restoration using entry donations, dig deep and generously give what you can afford, restoration works will not impact your visit.
