A 14th-century landmark, St. James The Apostle Church stands in one of the city's oldest squares and boasts an elegant Renaissance-style facade. Admire the stately exterior that dates back to 1525 and features white walls of Istrian stone, charming mullioned windows, a balcony, and an ornately decorated clock tower. Inside, you'll see opulent Baroque adornments, including lavishly painted stone altars, valuable sculptures, and large ceiling frescoes. The interior paintings and decorations are dated between the 17th and the 20th centuries.     In a place like Piazza Giacomo this is definitely most beautiful building. This is a small, charming church in a not so nice beautiful square.
