Santa Margherita di Antiochia Church represents a place of peace and prayer from the 14th century. Originally built on remains from the 11th century in the Ligurian Gothic style right next to the sea, the church features three aisles and an impressive octagonal bell tower. Legends says that the relics of Saint Margherita were washed on shore and that is the place where the church stands. Enter the church, light a candle, and admire the stone architecture and the paintings inside. Planning Cinque Terre trip won't be overwhelming when you use Inspirock's itinerary maker.

  • This 14th century Gothic church is the main historical sight in Vernazza. You can’t miss it. It is located on a rocky platform right beside the colourful harbour and every Vernazza tourist ends up...

  • It is certainly one of the gems of Vernazza. It is a catholic church built in the 11th century with access from a secondary entrance, located to the side of the apse, directly from the small square...

  • Beautiful little church located right along the coast of the small village of vernazza, so much quieter inside the church compared to the bustling crowds outside. There was a cleaner there making sure it was nice and clean which it was!
  • A marvelous place full of romantic vibes and seafood aroma!!! The whole village is truly stunning.
