今帰仁村の運天港からフェリーで約1時間。周囲は約17km程度の小さな島です。いくつか小高い小さな山がありますが、それ以外は起伏がほとんどないため、島を巡る観光であれば、サイクリングでも充分です。伊是名島は（特に夏は）イベントが多く、そのほとんどが土日に行われるため、いずれの宿も部屋はすぐに予約で埋まってしまいます。一方で、イベントの無い期間は、夏休みという絶好の機会にもかかわらず観光客がほとんど... more

This small island is a great place to visit to get a taste of traditional Okinawan culture and enjoy nature. While the island doesn't have many English speaking residents they are friendly and more than welcoming to those who come to visit. I've lived here for almost 2 years and have absolutely enjoyed my time here. The beaches and hiking trails offer incredible views and there are tons of hidden gems all over the island. The local restaurants are affordable and offer a taste of local cuisine. The annual festivals and sports events are a wonderful time to come experience the island!
