Here you can learn a little bit about the history and facts of kuroshima. I've learnt that there isn't a policeman on the island! You have to pay 500 yen for entrance fee but I think it's worth going to contribute sea turtle research as I love sea turtles.

Thanks to visiting this research center, I truly enjoyed my stay in Kuroshima. I participated in turtle release activity - we had a short lecture about turtles inhabiting in Okinawa, they showed us some alive turtles to see the difference between sea and land types. In the end, we released one turtle in the ocean.
