Visit the workshops of Yachimun no Sato, a community of craftspeople making kiln-fired pottery and glasswork. Strolling through the quaint purpose-made village--relocated here when smoke from the kilns became too disruptive in the main town--you'll see the local artisans at work, with many workshops and studios open to visitors. Admire the different stages of the artistic process as you move between the studios, with one potter spinning, another firing, and yet another painting or glazing. Visit the onsite store, where cups, saucers, bottles, vases, and ornaments offer a wealth of souvenir and gift ideas. Our Yomitan-son online travel planner makes visiting Yachimun no Sato and other Yomitan-son attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

The shops take credit card. Wow, I was in the pottery village for two hours. Time passed by so fast while visiting all the shops here and stopped by some shops several times to compare some products. Some people say they are same stuff but they are not same. They are all slightly different because they were not made in a factory. They are all hand made. I love this place! Always find a rare piece and so satisfied.

I love everything about this area, it took everything in me to not buy plates and cups as I saw them, planning another trip back that way soon
