Visit the workshops of Yachimun no Sato, a community of craftspeople making kiln-fired pottery and glasswork. Strolling through the quaint purpose-made village--relocated here when smoke from the kilns became too disruptive in the main town--you'll see the local artisans at work, with many workshops and studios open to visitors. Admire the different stages of the artistic process as you move between the studios, with one potter spinning, another firing, and yet another painting or glazing. Visit the onsite store, where cups, saucers, bottles, vases, and ornaments offer a wealth of souvenir and gift ideas. Our Yomitan-son online travel planner makes visiting Yachimun no Sato and other Yomitan-son attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Highly recommend. This is a small pottery village where you can walk around and look in the shops and glimpse at the owners making the pottery. We enjoyed it that much we went twice.

very nice place to visit, some of the shops were closed due to covid, however some were open and had such an amazing variation. however this place you pay for quaility, it is not cheap. 5 minutes...

Great place to get artisanal pottery and glasswork. This area is in a residential neighborhood full of families who have been doing pottery for generations. There's giant kilns everywhere, workshops and stores. Be sure to take your time and walk around and visit each store as they have their own designs and are very proud of it.

Quaint area with various pottery shops and workspaces. Nice for a leisurely walk and browsing pottery pieces. The places nearer the beginning of the area have more formulaic mass produced look pieces, towards the rear are some more interesting items. It can be a little similar from place to place though.
