  • The museum is very small. It is basically just two rooms. The very few displays are nice/ok. The skeleton of the mammoth is very good and the high light. Overall, it is not worth the time and stairs.....  more

  • Small museum, with focus on education. Quite entertaining for children (preferebly speaking french). A fair number of artefacts from older research in nearby caves. The museum has very friendly and helpful staff, and admission is practically free (€ 1). A nice change of pace to the extravaganza of the ultra-rich, which are very much in evidence in Monaco 😉
  • Took me forever to find it, when I finally did I was told it was already closed at 5.30, even though allegedly it closes at 6 pm. I was really disappointed, as I had hurried and walked so much searching for it and had been so glad when I thought I'd finally found it in time for a quick visit. Absolutely gutted, as the entrance looked really nice and I'd been looking forward to visiting on my one and only day in Monaco, which I also could've spent better than searching for a bunch of closed places. 😞
