Create an itinerary including Prince's Palace
Take an audio tour of Prince's Palace, occupied for more than 700 years by the ruling Grimaldi family. Built on the site of an 1191 Genoese fortress, the palace is still well fortified--it was frequently besieged over the centuries by Monaco’s larger and more powerful neighbors. Imposing from the outside, the royal family's only residence also displays wealth and opulence in its interior, furnished in the style of Louis XIV. Explore the state apartments, where you can see intricately painted 16th-century frescoes of mythological figures, and see the throne, draped with a red velvet awning and topped by the crown. The palace is only open to the public for a few months a year, so check the website for details. • We didn’t have time to take a tour inside but the outside is cute with the guard outside who looked pristine ! Rather an odd addition on the side but we are used to the balanced English architecture.....  more

  • Great views, don’t miss out if your are in Monaco. There are 2 grand view spots, try visit both. Walking around alleys and spots could Take up to a maximum of 20-25’ walk. I would suggest any of the cafeterias there though as they are expensive and very touristy. Don’t expect WiFi to any of the places there too.
  • This is the place to watch the changing of the guard and beautiful ocean view! You can purchase tickets (€18) to tour the inside of the palace! Which we didn’t go due to the time restrictions! Beautiful view and full of the tourists! It also getting very hot during the summer months.
