Pavilhao do Conhecimento
Become a science expert in a single day by visiting Pavilhao do Conhecimento, an interactive museum of science and technology. This Pavilion of Knowledge, as its name translates, opened in 1999 with an objective to accumulate knowledge and stimulate the public's interest in scientific developments. The interactive activities allow you to learn by touching and becoming an active part of scientific experiments. Discover the laws of physics by attempting to ride a bicycle over a cable hanging 6 m (20 ft) in the air, or visit the museum's clinostat display to find out how plants grow in outer space. The award-winning museum building is one of the city's major architectural landmarks. Take the guesswork out of planning a Lisbon vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

We love a science museum and knew we'd come here. It's closed Mondays though so watch out if you're planning your trip.. Kids (8&7) loved it. We bought a family ticket which you can't buy in advance..... more

We have been there with our 5 year old daughter and she enjoyed it a lot. It is full of things to do and you can easily spend at least half day inside it with a lot of fun!

This live science museum is amazing! You could probably leave me in here for 2 days and I'd still find things to do. The displays are beautifully interactive, the explanations are detailed enough to be clear but concise enough to read quickly. There is circus styled kids area which kept my kids entertained for hours. Even the other exhibits had then enthralled. A great day out with the family. We'll have to do it again because even though we spent 4 hours there we skipped more than half the rooms.

I love this place almost as much as my 5-year old! It is informative, fun and perfect for the 'Why? Why? Why?' age...She was there for a friend's birthday first, and because she was so excited we also went again on 16 May when it was free entrance for Scientist Day. I understand they have a number of free tickets available everyday, but I would easily pay the ticket price for the experience gained...
