Portugal's largest urban park, Parque da Cidade combines large manicured sections with sprawling natural areas. The park, the country's only public green area linked to the ocean, attracts morning joggers and cyclists, weekend picnickers, and impassioned surfers. Spanning more than 80 hectares (200 acres), the park grounds include sparkling lakes, verdant tree groves, blossoming hedges, and natural rock formations. Designed by renowned architect Sidonio Pardal, this green zone serves as a giant lung, providing Portugal's second-largest city with a breath of fresh air. Wild ducks, swans, and geese make their home here, along with more than 70 tree species and 40 plant species. Take a walk along the wide pathways and try to identify some of them. You go way out Rua Boavista toward the ocean and you end up at the big city park which is a good place to get away from it all. The park ends at the beach and the ocean.

This park is my favourite city park I've ever been in. It's beautiful, really well designed with large old stones and nice paths through the trees. The park leads out onto the beach, it's perfect for families, exercise, dog walking, cycling. There's plenty of places to chill out on the grass, and free toilets too. It also has a good amount of wildlife including birds and turtles. Definitely recommend visiting.

A great park to go out for a stroll, alone, with friends or with your family! It's a very kid-friendly place, and lots of people love to go there with their children feed bread to the ducks! It's very big, has tons of animals (mostly ducks and geese) and lots of attractive places! You'll find various different cafés inside, with a very nice mood to them, and outdoor eating! A must visit place in Porto, I recommend everyone that's here to consider going there!
