Sintra National Palace, Sintra

We came on a rainy day. For some reason we were not to excited go into the palace and chose to walk through the garden only. It is a tiny garden but lovely. We enjoyed the view and hopped on the trail to walk to. No regrets for us. Overall, it is a good place to visit. It stands in front of a few nice restaurants and positioned just on the way from the train station to the Palace of Peña. The walk to Pena is about 45 min uphill. It was a good exercise and experience for us with very nice views on the way.

Not to be mixed up with the palace of Pena which is on the mountain! This palace is way nicer to visit and there is a lot more inside. It foes not have the same views as the other palace but it is way more accessible and interesting. This palace is for those interesting in learning a bit more about the Portuguese royal family. This place is not a tourist trap and brings people a lot of new and amazing facts about the Portuguese royals. When in Sinatra this is a must!
