Create an itinerary including Tunel de Guajataca
Visit Tunel de Guajataca--a hidden gem of rich history and beautiful scenery. Walk through the remnants of the national railway built around 1905. The tunnel starts at Playa Guajataca, a beach with fine white sand and swaying palm trees, and leads to the picture perfect Playa Pelicanos. Take pictures of the foaming waves and and colorful sunsets and enjoy the wild, untouched nature. You shouldn't swim at either beach because of the strong currents. Neither beach offers restroom facilities. Work out when and for how long to visit Tunel de Guajataca and other Quebradillas attractions using our handy Quebradillas travel route planner.

  • Beautiful place! A must spot to make a stop during your family vacation. I had one of the most delicious lemonades I've ever tried on a cart just at the tunnel entrance. There are many other food and drinks offerings. There is also a spot where you can buy typical candy and some local artisans selling their creations. I highly recommend visiting the area in your next trip to the west of the Island. ❤️
  • Enjoyed the walk through the tunnel and the spectacular view of the ocean and many rock formations on the beach, but very rough waves make it not suitable for swimming. Fishermen would enjoy it!
