The largest shopping mall in the Caribbean, Plaza Las Americas boasts nearly 300 stores, from the anchor stores of major brands such as Macy's and Sears to specialty stores of local artisans. Decorated with fountains and sculptures, this site becomes the venue of large farmers market and local artisan fair every weekend. Look for homemade treats and handcrafted goods from the island on the third floor. Plaza features more than 40 restaurants and eateries, a video arcade, and a movie theater with the latest releases (most run in English with Spanish subtitles). Plan your visit to Plaza Las Americas and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our San Juan visit planner.

Great mall. Especially around the holidays. The decor is very festive! There are many different stores and places to eat. From a large food court to various restaurants inside and around the mall. Something for everyone. This place is a must for both locals and tourists.

Are you in PR? Do you like shopping? If yea to both, do yourself a favor and go to Plaza Las Americas. I used to go there every week 2-3 times. Have not been here in 15 years as I moved out of the island and the time I had before was for family. Just came back after these 15 years, and it still feels like “The Center of Everything”. This is a shopping mall like none I have seen in the USA. Tons of stores with a variety of services and goods. Tons of restaurants for all the family. Here you will see the conundrum of PR society, poor and rich mixing alike and all looking for a sale in some of the fancy stores around. I may be a bit melancholic, but what great memories I have of this place, and how different and better and nicer it is from what people in the mainland think of a mall. This should be the mold for all of them, in my humble opinion…
