Sangdangsanseong Fortress, Cheongju

Very nice place to visit in Cheong ju. A little bit of tracking, city views, a bit of country life and nice cafes. A place worth visiting

Visited the fortress quite lateley in the afternoon but we were not disappointed. It's a lovely place to go on a walk and the view is just breathtaking. You can almost see the whole city of Cheongju with all those high buildings (try to find your place or hotel) on one side and the beautiful nature with it's mountains on the other side. I would come here everytime when I am around in this area. We did not visited the village inside the walls but took the round on the wall. We took about an hour to walk those 3 km around. The way is not always easy to go and maybe especially not for elder people with problems to walk. But just take your time and enjoy the view. It's worth it!
