  • Nice little free museum, nicely laid out and presented. Some interesting artefacts from very early Madrid onwards.

  • Very nice anthropology museum with good exhibits that recreate the life and tool use of early humans. Check out the mosaics and the animal skulls. The staff can be short tempered, but the museum is free so it still worth seeing. The map of accident Madrid and its expansion is a definite highlight. There is a well that was the site of a supposed miracle, and the courtyard is very refreshing. Remember to use the hand sanitizer when you enter or you will get angry looks. There is no map of the museum, but following the single path will take you to ask the necessary places.
  • A free museum about the history of Madrid. It's similar to the collection at the MAN a little further north in the city. It's an interesting collection and definitely worth the visit if you just went to the Mercado de la Cebada or if you are going there. Just hope that there isn't a group of uninterested school kids in there with you at the same time. Definitely makes the visit less enjoyable.
